We have 2 students applying. We have a question about 1 of the application questions. They don't have a ton of STEM experience. outside of school. Will that prevent us from being accepted?

Extra-curricular activities - are there some activities / clubs that take more time than others (i.e., band, scholastic bowl, etc) ? what is a "reasonable" number of activities to take so that it won't impact their studies? (our daughter loves all of her external activities...)

Are there any traits/behaviors of your children that made you more comfortable with them leaving for IMSA? Are there any that made you hesitant or would indicate they could use more preparation emotionally/academically before going?

What percentage of students stay at IMSA during the weekends? Are there any formal activities planned on weekends (social or other)? What do the kids who stay at school usually do?

Yes - most do take AP tests here even though we don't have AP classes here, the comprehensive nature/instruction provides a strong foundation for our students where they take them and typically do very well

Ramya - essays do not need to be reviewed by essay experts and having your child review it for grammatical errors is what we'd recommend, as well as having your child be the one to write the essay
